A. Jack Hinton, PARTNER

Jack Hinton is a Georgia native and was born in Columbus in 1944. With an innate passion for protecting the rights of the injured and less fortunate, Jack attended Law School at the University of Georgia. While there, he participated as:

  • President of the Student Bar Association (1974),
  • Moot Court Board (1974-74),
  • Member of the Georgia Law Review (1973-74)

Jack also participated in Pi Gamma Mu, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Delta Phi, Blue Key, and was an esteemed Woodruff Scholar. After graduating law school in 1974, his interest in Workers’ Compensation Law led him to serve in the United States Military as a Lt., Judge Advocate General’s Corps, USNR (1984-1985).

Upon completion of his service at the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges, Jack and Douglas R. Hinton formed the practice of Hinton & Hinton. Over his illustrious career, Jack has built a stellar reputation as a tenacious attorney. He stays active in the legal community with memberships in the:

  • Atlanta and American Bar Associations
  • State Bar of Georgia
  • Association of Trial Lawyers of America
  • Georgia Trial Lawyers Association
